Delete Your Account

You can delete your Settlr account and all associated data at any time — directly inside the app, or by emailing us. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed.

Settlr ("Settlr", "we", "us") is operated by an independent developer based in India. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

  1. Open Settlr and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm when prompted.

Your account is deleted immediately, you are signed out, and the app's local data on your device is cleared. If the deletion can't be completed (for example, no internet connection), the app tells you so and nothing is signed out — you can try again.

Option 2 — Delete by email

Email us from the address associated with your account at divyanshr.iitb@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Settlr account". We verify ownership of the account and delete it, and will confirm by email. We aim to action requests within 7 days.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

Shared records work like a ledger between people. Expenses and settlements you created that involve other people are removed from your account; where another person also needs a record of a shared transaction for their own balance, their copy of that shared history may remain in their account. Your personal profile details are always removed.
